Mr. Jenson

Doug Jenson was born in Salt Lake City,Utah to Scott and Ann Jenson. He has two brothers and three sisters. He graduated from Skyline High School and served a LDS church mission in Houston, Texas. Doug attended Salt Lake Community Colledge, University of Utah (yeah!), and Southern Utah University where he majored in Physical Education and English. While at SUU, he met his future wife, Rachel who had just graduated from BYU(boo!)and was working as a dietitian in Cedar City. After a lengthy courtship of 6 months, they had settled ther school rivalry differences and were married.Upon graduation, Doug became Mr.Jenson and began teaching at Pine View Middle School as an English teacher. Mr.Jenson also taught at Dixie Middle School as an English teacher before becoming coach Jenson, P.E. teacher at Fossil Ridge. Coach Jenson is also the ESL Coordenator and Intamural coordinator at Fossil Ridge. In addition to working at Fossil Ridge, Coach Jenson injoys working at Pine View High School as the Head JV and Assistant Varsity coachgor the volleyball team.In his free time, Coach Jenson loves to spend time with family;especially his wife and one-year-old daughter, Anna. He also loves sports of any kind and being outside. If he is not at home,he is probably hiking,canyoneering,skiing,orbiking. Coach Jenson also loves to read and write. He is a puhlished poet,and is currently working on writing a historical fiction novel about the southern Utah area.
