Faculty and Staff | Mrs.Winslow

Mrs. Winslow was born in Sacramento, CA and was raised there for the majority of her childhood. She began playing the trumpet at age seven and her parents taught her and her other five siblings to sing at a very young age. When Mrs. Winslow was about 13, her family moved to Bountiful, UT where she attended Woods Cross High School. She involved herself in every music group she could possibly fit into her schedule. Mrs. Winslow decided to attend SUU in Cedar City where she majored in Music Education and met her husband, Mike Winslow. She was also a member of the 2002 Winter Olympic Spirit Band through which she was able to play her trumpet in the opening and closing ceremonies and numerous other Olympic events. Later that same year Mr. and Mrs. Winslow had their first child, Tyson, who has been a great addition to their family. They both graduated in 2004 with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Music Education and moved to St. George after receiving job offers as music teachers here at Fossil Ridge. They have since been blessed with another child, Julianna, and they continue to strive to be good parents and teachers as they work together and give the knowledge that they have gained about music and life.
