Faculty and Staff | Mrs. Fernandez

Mrs. Fernandez is one of Southern Utah's finest educators. She was born at an early age in Southern California where life was fun and basically uneventful. After finishing high school, she went to BYU and then transferred to Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. Even though she probably spent too much time at the nearby beach, she graduated with a BS degree in agronomy (she suggests you use your Greek/Latin word roots to figure that one out!). She was soon off to Chilie with the Peace Corps for two memorable years. When she returned, she brought back a souvenir, namely her husband. They've lived in California, Chilie, and, of course, Utah. They have three children and various pets, mostly of the feline variety. This year she'll finest up her second degree in elementary Education and Library Media. Mrs. Fernandez tells us she loves working at Fossil Ridge and may some day learn everyone's name, but don't hold
your breath.
