Lynn Perkins was born in San Meato, California. She is the oldest of four children, having two brothers and one sister. When she was five years old her family moved to Colorado where they lived in Denver, Boulder, and then in Aurora. As her father worked for United Air Lines they had an opportunity to move again; this time they went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were supposed to be there for two years, but it streched into 20! After high school, Lynne went to Brigham Young University, where she graduated as a speech therapist. She is married to Kent Perkins, and they have six children: one girl and five boys. Since leaving college, they have lived in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Utah. They have lived in St. George for twenty-four years. She now has 3 wonderful grandchildren. This is her seventh year working as a speech therapist in the Washington County schools.
