Faculty and Staff | Mr. Gustaveson

Mr. Gustaveson was born and raised in SLC. Growing up was great! He loved baseball, motorcycles, and music. His dad owned a music store so he had the chance to try out many different instruments. They were all interesting but the drums were his favorite. Mr.Gustaveson started playing when he was eight but became about practicing and studying at age twelve. Mr. Gustaveson loved listening to The Beatles and how Ringo Starr played. There were so many great bands to listen to in the 60's and 70's: The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jethro Tull, Billy Joel, The Eagles and the list goes on and on. Mr. Gustaveson also loved scouting and had some great leaders that inspired him to earn the rank of Eagle. When he turned 19 he served a mission for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Florida. Upon his return, he met a girl who became his best friend and eventually his wife. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple 30 years ago and have three daughters; Haleigh, Heather, and Holly. They have three grandchildren with two more that will be born in 2007. Mr. Gustaveson enjoys working as an Assistant Principal at Fossil Ridge Intermediate School. "We have a great faculty and staff. Our students this year are the absolute best! It is a pleasure to work with you all each day." he still play the drums, love sports, and rides a Harley!
